Then a man, whom I trust like a brother told me to stop and look at him. And asked asked me a simple question. "What's wrong?" Then I lost it. I poured out my sob story. My teenage dramas, my worries and concerns. And he sat there and listened patiently. Taking in my concerns and giving occasional advice. Then he asked, "Can I tell you something?" And of course I wouldn't turn down advice from a great man. But I didn't realize that it would impact me in the way it has. He said, "I have found that when everything seems to be going wrong, or falling out of place, that something AMAZING is about to happen."
WHAT?!
At first, it didn't make sense. If something amazing was going to happen, why wasn't it happening now? I was pretty positive that I was being a good person. Doing my best (although hard) to be nice to others, trying to fulfill my church callings, and just trying to be a better person. Then why did the Adversary have to come and crumple that? Because he's Satan. And whatever barrier he can put in front of us from keeping to move forward, he will.
Pioneer Children Sang as They Walked, and Walked, and Walked, and WALKED!
I can't imagine how those pioneer children felt. Hungry and tired. Exhausted. But they kept going along. They took one step right after another. And I think that's what we are almost forced to do in this life. To keep going if we don't have the energy or willpower, but sometimes it's just the right thing to do and we know somehow, in the end we will be blessed for it. So keep going. Keep walking. The purpose and end is near my friends!!
A Graceful Faceplant.
And sometimes, even if we keep walking along, we faceplant it. Hardcore, straightup, faceplant it. And it's hard to get up. We know that the happiness and blessings we receive is quite near. That we can get up and keep going. But how do we actually get that willpower to?
You Know You're Not Alone.
Because you're not. Many are walking the same path you are to return to your home, what ever you decide that is. In fact, there was one who walked the same path we walk everyday. Our Savior, Redeemer, and Brother Jesus Christ. He was surely on the same path as us as He was persecuted and tempted. He knew what it was like when His friend left him helpless. He knows what it's like to feel alone. But because he walked a path we ourselves cannot walk alone, He understands. So we aren't alone.
Be You, But Be NEW.
Thanks Harry for sharing that quote. So now hopefully you're on your way to be motivated to face what the world is ready and willing to throw at you. It's time now to know that through every trial and tribulation, that you must lean on what you know. But also-and very importantly-take what you have learned, and make you a new person. Become the person that you someday will be proud to say you made the decisions you did. Because the lives we lead and live, don't just effect us.
I Have [Finally] Learned That AMAZING Thing.
So my friends, I have learned--and will continue to learn--that AMAZING thing. And you want to know what that is? That we have hard times. We stumble, we rise, we fall. We learn and we relearn. And sometimes we're just really waiting for that AMAZING thing to come right around the corner. We're waiting for it to completely change us. But sometimes that AMAZING thing, is just that we know that our Heavenly Father has a plan for us. And that we can and will do the best we can, but ultimately everything is in His hands and His timing.
So I thank that kind, patient, willing man who listened to me when I needed it most. Who is like a brother to me and helped me get through a rough patch so that hopefully someday I can help someone get through theirs. Because we're all on this journey called life together. So let's all make it AMAZING.

Ahh. The temple.
Fireworks with this little brave gal! She's hadn't actually been legit out to see "big" fireworks, but she was a trooper and "wasn't even 'fraid," according to her. What a cutie.
Explanation on her face: I showed her the "puffed up face" look. Let's just say that her face was just like that for the rest of the night because she loved it so much.
Hahahahah still one of my favorite edits.
Cow Appreciation Day=Free meal and a selfie with a cow.
We broke probably the coolest record to be broken...112 students to be at Fremont Summer Seminary. Let's just say we were ecstatic and we're still not over it.
Taking pictures with this crazy girl is the funniest thing ever with the faces she makes.
Cheeth. (As she would say cheese.)
And because Mike really wanted to get in the cameras way to show off her lovely knees.
And now I shall go photo crazy because WE WENT TO AN ANDY GRAMMER CONCERT.
Oh these gals.
And here's us waiting for two hours in the hot sun because we wanted to get good seats. And luckily Papa Gorder and Devrie saved the day with ice cold water bottles, hamburgers, and fries. They were probably like the "modern day Levi Savage" as my mom would say.
Still thrilled.
So backstory: My phone memory decided to suddenly go on the fritz, and decide not to take anymore photos or videos IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CONCERT. So that was kind of inconvenient. However, I decided to do them on my Snapchat and save them later (when I wasn't rapidly deleting photos). So my friends on Snapchat, I apologize (but not really) for seeing a crazy amount of Andy Grammer. (But really you're welcome. ;))
Lovely ladies.
That's my happy face.
This is also my happy face. After all, we did see Andy Grammer.
Ogden Ampitheature and Devrie! And we did get fantastic seats. 5 ROWS FROM THE STAGE. PRAISE EVERYTHING.
Look. JUST LOOK.
The man can seriously beatbox like there's no tomorrow.
And play like a bajillion instruments.
Greer (Tinkles) and I have throughly decided that we're still very much NOT OVER IT. The concert that is. And I think we have concluded that we never will be over it. Because that Andy Grammer concert was rad. #neveroverit
Seriously he sounds so great live! And he's hilarious. Plus he had a green minivan in high school they called "The Turtle." So Shae, we must call your minivan "The Whale" now. :)
Not sure if I've had a moment to brag about my group "Abish" at girls camp yet, but seriously these girls are the best. Such great examples to me and I love them so much! They rock. And are gorgeous.
Laughed way harder at this than I should have. #baconforlyfe
Went to Classic Fun Center with Rachel, Kelci, and Alex. Kelci thought this would be a convenient spot for a nap. Not too shabby really.
We acted totally mature and our age as we rode the childrens carousel...three times.
Alex also rode a dinosaur looking majestic. I may or may not have ridden it...
You know you're friend rivals when you both wear your favorite college shirts. #BYUisthetruecrew
Just a pano of some of our lovely council.
Mueller entrusting us with his cellular device...Amateur.
Look at this fine council. (And adorable Cal) I heart them. They're seriously the greatest. #semsquad
Not pictured: Caitlyn, Nik, and Bryant--I heart them too.
Roof shenanigans.
Brigham's going to Charleston West Virginia! He'll do such an amazing job. He did so great being the only guy (and Editor-in-Chief) with all girls on a newspaper staff. He even bought us lots of chocolate. He knows us too well. :)
Also, thanks Kysen for taking these.
And this would be when Kysen told me "he was only taking about a thousand pictures." THANKS KYSEN. ;)
I hope ya'll have a swell week and keep a prayer in your heart and scriptures in your hands!
Next stop: EFY!!!
