A few weeks ago while I was out in Taiwan, on my Facebook news feed came up a video about a young man who was bullied. However, to instead of retaliating back or feeling sorry for himself he simply stood and opened a door for those of his school. Something so simple but it made such an impact.
It got me thinking (since I'm such an over thinker) that bullying doesn't always come from just another person. Sometimes it comes within ourselves. Sometimes we are just self-bullied.
I think we often give ourselves a bad break. Life is rough. It's hard. And sometimes it is really hard to see what seems like everyone around you and that their life is absolutely perfect. But the hardest thing is to accept yourself. To take yourself as you are. You're the only person that's around you 24/7 every second of the day. But don't let yourself down. Be yourself. Love yourself.
Don't let yourself down. Don't let your Heavenly Father down. Be you. Don't feel sorry for yourself. Do something. Serve. Get out there and do something about the situation you're in. It's a rough transition I know, but it is worth it.
~Sometimes life just gets you down. But it can and will be a brighter and more wonderful path ahead of you. Don't be Self-Bullied, but Full of Smiles.~
