My Favorite Book

Tonight, I finished my favorite book for the 4th time. And many more to come. That book is

THE BOOK OF MORMON

This book is SO important to me! It truly holds the happiness I hold dear. Everytime I read it, I learn something new. Certainly my circumstances are different every time but the message is the same overall: I AM LOVED AND SO ARE YOU.

There truly is no greater happiness to me. I think as humans there is a lot of comparisons we have. We always try to be perfect and that's good don't get me wrong, but really we need to love who we are NOW and to love others NOW too.

I remember a few years ago in my ward we did a "Book of Mormon Read-a-Thon" I remember literally dreading for when that time would come. I didn't want to go and I didn't see the importance of it. But my amazing parents encouraged me to go and gave me the choice of going. Grudgingly, I went along knowing it was the right thing to do but not without complaint. I am SO glad I went. Honestly, that was the first time I had read The Book of Mormon and actually paid attention to the words it had on those pages. The message was clear, I felt loved, and most importantly I felt God's love for me. We even listened to it while we ate! It was awesome!

To make sure we were awake, our leader came up with a line we would have to say every time it came up in the scriptures. Can you guess what it is??
"And it came to pass."

I honestly didn't even realize how much that line was in the Book of Mormon! But even now as an ongoing joke, Andrew and Riley still say it to each other every time they see each other and see who can say it the fastest!

But there is one thing I'd like to share about that experience that changed my perspective forever:
On the last chapter of the Book of Mormon, (Moroni 10) our bishop (my uncle) read to us that last chapter and explained to us what was going on. There was an UNDENIABLE feeling I felt at that moment. There was no doubt in my mind that what I read was TRUE. I did pray later for a sure understanding of it. But I remember and will never forget that undeniable feeling. Nor will or have I doubted it since.

The Book of Mormon is more than just words on pages to me or even some book. I can't even explain how much it means to me. I love it BEYOND WORDS. I have a burning testimony of the Book of Mormon. So ask me about it. I'd LOVE to share!!!

I will never tire of reading the Book of Mormon. I truly know I can learn something every time I read it. Because I am loved and YOU are too.

So Here's a CHALLENGE:

Read the Book of Mormon with REAL intent.
Make it part of your life.
LOVE IT!
Pray if you haven't already to know if it's true. (Remember with REAL intent!

Here's a few of my favorite scriptures from it: (but just a few!)
Ether 12:4
Alma 26:1
Ether 3:4
Moroni 10: 4-5, 18, 19, 23, 32

~I KNOW WITHOUT A DOUBT THAT WHEN I READ THE BOOK OF MORMON MY LIFE IS FULL OF SMILES!~
