#my100happydays

A change is happening. And it's a MAJOR one! In just 100 days, MY BEST FRIEND IN THE ENTIRE WORLD COMES HOME!!! He's been out for too long (in my opinion) and I can't wait to see him! I'm so excited just thinking about it and it's midnight and I can't sleep.

This would be a shower-head Adam made. So manly.

A lot has changed since Adam left. But a lot is to come when he gets home and I can't even wait. That's why I decided to make my own 100 happy days. I've seen the #100happydays that people have posted and I'll be honest, I haven't a clue what it's about. But I know that I'm going to find something happy in each of these next 100 happy days.

BECAUSE I'M HAPPPYYYY!!!

And don't you think I forgot about Andrew! He's got 686 days left! He just left to Ecuador on Monday and arrived safely. I can't wait to hear from him! Also, here's a picture he (FINALLY) sent! And one also from Sister Anne Nielsen!

And just a few pictures just because I want to...

Veggie straws. Those things are addictive.

See? Kaz always takes mine.

And these pictures depict when people take your phone when they shan't. #payback

We had the opportunity to help with the Halloween carnival for the special needs mutual. One of the coolest opportunities ever. I sure love those people!

With Superman and Captain America.

The coolest Elvis ever.

I honestly don't know what I'm doing in this. I look like I'm having a heart attack or something...so I guess I'll just share that.

My mumsy was kind enough to fulfill my dreams and let Ariana and I finally paint a candy corn on her nose...she hates candy corn. She's pretty cool.

Steve and I! He's seriously so funny and one of my favorite people ever!

Word.

I think everyone else was taking selfies so I was like "eh why not?"

All of the special needs mutual. :)

My parents and I also went to visit Jake and Kendra and the twins. My nephews are the coolest. I mean look at Luke's face.

I already posted this but this kid is a cutie.

(Crappy quality) Idaho Falls Temple picture.

The ever so sophisticated Bryan.

While we were at the park by the farmers market, my dad wanted to take pictures--I'm not a fan of serious pictures--so I became the Karate Kid's cousin.

~I can't wait for these next #my100happydays. Join me. Because it's going to be Full of Smiles and it's already off to a great start.~

Matchy-Matchy.

I've decided that I have an art for matching with people involuntarily. Here are a few occurrences.

I don't have a picture but, one time I went to go play tennis at the park with my friends and Tanner and I both wore our EFY shirts--same year. It was a little weird because we were totally caught off guard. But then again, who plans this stuff?

Mike and I matched with pink pants. Isn't she adorable?

Nolan and I sorta matched with our superhero shirts. *cough Batman is better cough*

This one time Emily and I matched missionary name tags. It was pretty rad.

I guess we aren't really matching, but I just wanted to say BYU rocks!

Tanner came to orange territory.

We all matchy-matchy.

There's just a lot of people wearing the same shirt. Probably because I was. ;)

Cutest twins matching. My favorite twins ever.

Matching faces.

Matching Asian PJ's.

Matching faces...somewhat.

Headband matchyness with my favorite. This kid loves headbands...and jewelry... and hair stuff.

Like I said, the cutest matching twins there are!

~Although matching can be aco-taco, it still makes those awkward times Full of Smiles.~

Adventures of the First Times.

There's a first time for everything. I don't think that has ever rung as true as these past week...

The first time I heard to "follow heart heart".--Major autocorrect problems.
The first time I had Kabrie do the sign for me to ask for Sadies--pretty awesome if I do say so myself.
First time Kelc and I asked in basically the same way...nonetheless pretty stinkin awesome.
First time I've seen this picture in a few years! I remember Adam, Kyle, and Andrew getting these pictures back! And now (Andrew's date) Sydney--is one of my best friends sisters! Woulda thunk.
First time I came across this picture since we last had our exchange students...betcha can't guess which ones aren't a Buckley or Barnes!
First time I've seen this picture of my handsome brother!
First time I've seen this...thing. Oh Pandora.
First time Andrew sent us pictures!--And yes, he always has to be different from everyone. Not just his skin color.
The first time my dad got my mom and I some "Shirley J's" mugs--mugs specially made for microwaving brownies and such--plus it's a BYU mug! My dad is the bestest.

Also, my parents took me overnight to Park City--first time I've had a trip with just my parents since being the only child at home. It was way fun! My parents may be "old" but they sure are pretty dang fun to hang with.
First time I fell in love with a single salad. That's right a chicken pesto salad. The Junction in Park City. Go there. You won't be disappointed. And yes those are beer cans lined against the wall. There were at least 1,000...on both walls.
The first time I had sushi for breakfast. So worth it.
The first time Mike actually smiled for a picture and made a cute pose. Doesn't get cuter than this.
The first time Micah and Kaz swung together. Mike loved it--Kaz not so much. Her face would get really red and she would hold her breath. Too funny.
Micah will now grace you with some "push ups".

I will now show you what happens when
1. Your friends snapchat photobomb each other
2. Nolan takes your phone
3. You have white friends

Oh look at that, the rare ginger-Asian.

Because Tanner looks like an Asian in this.

I look like I'm mad and want to throw Kelc's phone on the ground...tis not true.

I find myself saying that phrase A LOT.
Also, see that cool headband? My even cooler sista Kendra got me that for my birthday. She's pretty darn awesome. I love her.
So that explains us to a T.

And this past week was the first time I lost a grandparent while on this mortal earth. My grandpa Leroy. I can't say a thing bad about him. He was a loving man who was always willing to help others. He was kind and loved serving God, and he always could make you laugh. Grandpa Leroy went through pain with his Leukemia but you wouldn't know because he was always happy and wouldn't let you see that. I may have been his step-granddaughter but he felt like a real and true grandpa to me.  I can't forget him sitting in his recliner and just listening as we would talk. He wore hearing aids and would make me laugh when he would forget my name and think it was "Melissa". Grandpa didn't always say much but when he did it was almost guaranteed to be funny or something about the gospel. I loved my grandpa Leroy. I am hurting from his passing but I would much rather hurt here emotionally than I would he physically. I have grown more of a testimony of the Plan of Salvation/Happiness because of losing my grandpa. I love that God allowed me to get to know him on this earth and I can't wait someday to hug and laugh with him again.

~I learned that life is Full of laughing with your "old" parents, breakfast sushi, friends taking selfies on your phone, hard times, and losing ones you love for a little bit. But that's okay, because in the end it's Full of Smiles.~
